Alfred S. Treadwell

Mr. Alfred S. Treadwell, Jr. age 74 years died in his Walpole home on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 31st, 1933, to his parents the late Alfred S. Treadwell, Sr. and Florence (Jeffrey) Treadwell of Boston, formerly of Walpole. Mr. Treadwell entered the United States Marine Corps and served his country from July 1956 til July of 1962.

A resident of Walpole for the past 20 years coming to Walpole from Norwood.

Mr. Treadwell was a retired Mechanic for UPS

Mr. Treadwell has been very active with the Walpole VFW Post 5188 and was a Past Commander . A member of the Medfield American Legion Post 0110, The Marine Corps League of Norwood.

He was an avid model antique car collector.

Devoted son of the late Alfred S. Treadwell, Sr. and Florence L. (Jeffrey) Treadwell of Boston. Loving father of Alfred and Susan both of Walpole. Brother of the late Charles G. Treadwell and the late Frederick A. Treadwell. Best friend of Philip J. Henry of Walpole.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Walpole VFW Post Robbins Road Walpole on Saturday, August 9th, 2008 at 1PM. Visiting hours are omitted at the request of the family. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery @ Bourne. Arrangements by James H Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
