Allison Nicole Thibault

Allison Nicole Thibault, age 33, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, on January 14, 1992, to Paul A. Thibault and Sandra Allison. Ally grew up in Walpole, Massachusetts, and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 2010. After high school, she enrolled at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University. But after her first year, she realized her true passion was in journalism, fueled by her love for writing. Ally spent a semester abroad in Italy, soaking in the sights, culture, and regional wines. She and a close friend backpacked across Europe, spending Christmas in Austria and ringing in the New Year in Germany, embracing the holiday season and all its magic, before graduating in 2014.

After earning her degree, Ally began working in hostels in Hyannis and Truro, then decided to venture far from the snow and made her home in Phoenix, Arizona, where she managed another hostel. A year later, she headed to sunny California, settling in Palm Springs, where she joined the ACES program to learn about the US Forest Service’s technical and administrative side. She quickly proved herself, working at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park as a liaison at the entrance, helping visitors find their way and working on the maintenance crew. Her skills kept growing, and she moved on to Yosemite National Park as a Back Country Trailblazer, taking care of trail repairs and maintenance. When at Yosemite, Ally learned how to live off the land—spending nights in tents and even signaling helicopters to drop supplies in the wilderness. She also joined the avalanche crew, one of the few women to have worked that job in Yosemite's history.

When the park season ended in November, Ally headed to Tahoe—despite her past dislike for snow, she learned to love it and snowboarding with her boyfriend. She spent her days working at Pass It On Thrift Store and building a beautiful community of friends she truly loved. Alongside her work at the thrift shop, she never hesitated to help her friends by caring for their animals and houses.

Travel was a big part of Ally’s life. She loved exploring new places, especially those with beaches—surfing along Cape Cod, California, Portugal, Costa Rica, and Hawaii. The mountains and desert were also her passion, as she was an avid hiker and explorer who loved camping under the stars.

Back home, Ally enjoyed knitting and crocheting, even opening her own shop, Fiber Fox Creations, where she sold handmade hats, shirts and home decor. As a huge Taylor Swift fan, she was always listening to the latest albums and couldn’t wait to see her perform live. She was ecstatic to catch Taylor’s Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in California and even tried her hand at guitar, learning all the songs and singing along whenever she could.
