Angela E. Kane

December 18, 1972 — April 19, 2021

Angela E. Kane, age 48, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021 at her home in Bellingham, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts on December 18, 1972, she was the daughter of Daniel and Katherine (Mariano) DeVasto.  She was raised in Sharon, Massachusetts and attended Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole, before graduating from Walpole High School with the Class of 1990.  Following her graduation, Angela attended Dean Junior College in Franklin earning her associates degree with the Class of 1992 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College with the Class of 1994.  With her degree in hand, Angela took a position with Fidelity Investments and later with Putnam Investments, serving as the payroll manager.

Angela married her beloved husband, Steven T. Kane, on August 24, 2002 in Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole.  After making their home together in Walpole for a short period of time, the young couple settled in Bellingham. Throughout her life, Angela loved horses and enjoyed learning about equine sports massage.  She operated her own equine massage business for several years, in addition to working full time as a salesperson for MidWest National Insurance, prior to welcoming her two children, Maggie and Paige.

Angela loved being a Mom to her children, dedicating her life to being a homemaker, to raise and care for her two girls.  As they grew up, Angela loved taking them with her to various barns in the area, as she reestablished her equine massage business.  She passed on so much knowledge to Maggie and Paige, who loved spending time with their Mom and the horses she cared for.  More recently, Angela took a position with Orentlich Financial Services, serving as the office manager.

Angela found her love for the outdoors at a young age, spending time at her parent's vacation home in Bartlett, New Hampshire.  She looked forward to weekend getaways to the mountains and lakes, spending the days hiking or skiing, taking in all the natural beauty.  She was a 4H member in her childhood years and later became a troop leader for her daughters.  Back at home, Angela volunteered her time to serve as a director for the Bellingham Youth Basketball Association, taking great pride in serving the youth in her community.  Most of all, Angela was a socially outgoing person, who loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was the first to arrive at any party and was always the last to leave.  When she hosted her own parties, Angela welcomed everyone to her home with open arms and begged everyone to stay for "just five more minutes."  She was truly a special person, who could light up a room and make a complete stranger feel comfortable in a matter of minutes.

Beloved wife of Steven T. Kane.
Loving mother of Maggie E. Kane and Paige K. Kane both of Bellingham.
Devoted daughter of Daniel and Katherine (Mariano) DeVasto of Bonita Springs, Florida.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Angela's Life Celebration on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

As a result of the ongoing and ever-developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Angela's family has decided that her funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole will be private.
