Ann Condrin Dugdale

Ann Condrin Dugdale, age 97, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Needham, Massachusetts, on October 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James and Julia (Ahearn) Condrin. Ann grew up in Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1946. After high school, she attended Newton Wellesley Hospital’s School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1949. Her first job was at Glover Memorial Hospital right in her hometown.

Ann married her beloved husband, Richard W. Dugdale, on March 22, 1952. A year later, the happy couple settled in Walpole, Massachusetts, where Ann embraced her role as a homemaker, lovingly caring for and raising her six boys. As her kids grew and went to school, Ann returned to work, taking a position with Dr. Lydon at his Norwood practice.

Throughout her life, Ann was known for her beautiful crafts. She loved crocheting afghans to gift to friends and family and enjoyed exploring new needlepoint patterns to decorate her home. An avid reader, she enjoyed curling up with a good book or tackling challenging crossword puzzles. She also stayed active and in great shape by attending weekly exercise classes with her friends at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Stone Street.

More than anything, Ann was all about her family. She cherished every moment she spent with her loved ones. Her Thanksgiving dinners were legendary, spending hours in the kitchen preparing a wonderful meal for everyone to enjoy together. No family gathering was complete without her “world-class” whoopie pies, which her children and grandchildren often tried to sneak before they could be served. Ann’s family also included her cats—she had several beloved pets over the years, who brought her even more joy.

Beloved wife of the late Richard W Dugdale.

Loving mother of James W. Dugdale of Parish, Florida, Thomas A. Dugdale and his late wife, Debbie, of Walpole, William R. Dugdale and his wife, Susan, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Daniel J. Dugdale and his partner, Sandy Winter, of Walpole, Richard M. Dugdale and his wife, Naomi, of Millis, and the late Robert M. Dugdale and his surviving wife, Michele, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Kim, Chris, Michael, Joseph, Lindsey, Corey, Kelly, Brian, Laura, Pamela, Peter, Benjamin, Rachel, Eli, Devin, and Terrance; and great grandmother of 28, with one on the way.

Sister of the late James P. Condrin, William M. Condrin, Richard A. Condrin, and Eileen M. Roy.

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
