Ann C. Travis

February 20, 1952 — August 7, 2022

Ann C. (Tetreault) Travis, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at her summer home in Wareham, Massachusetts.  Born in Lyon INN in Boston, Massachusetts on February 20, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Leo F. and Frances C. (Hart) Tetreault.  She spent much of her childhood on Clark Avenue in Walpole, before her family moved to Pilgrim Way in East Walpole.  Ann graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1970 and continued her education at Berdette and Fisher Junior College.  Following her schooling, Ann took a position with Metal Bellows in Walpole and later began work at Dr. James Patton office with Norwood Eye Care Specialist.

Ann married her beloved husband, Wayne A. Travis, on October 23, 1976, at Mosley's on the Charles in Dedham.  They initially made their home together on Georgia Drive in Walpole, where many of pool parties were had. Ann quickly went to work alongside Wayne at his company, Mass Installation, Inc.  In 1987, Ann and Wayne settled in Norfolk, Massachusetts, where they raised their two sons, Mark and Michael.  As her boys grew up, Ann returned to her education, first taking courses at Dean College to earn her associates degree and later graduating Suma Cum Laude Highest Distinction from Suffolk University, earning both her bachelors and masters degrees.  Ann continued her career with MII, taking the position of vice president and co-owner.  After Wayne's untimely passing in 2020, Ann continued working alongside her sons, ensuring the company's legacy would continue for years to come.

While Ann worked hard, she made sure to laugh too.  At the end of a long day in the office, she looked forward to relaxing on her couch, catching up on her favorite television shows. She was also an avid reader, always on the lookout for a new Danielle Steele Novel.  Most of all, Ann loved being surrounded by her family.  In the 1999, she and Wayne purchased a vacation home in Wareham, taking their two sons to enjoy the Cape life every weekend either having cookouts or parties with friends and loved ones or boating and jet-skiing yelling at the boys for messing up her hair.  In more recent years, Ann and Wayne used the house as an escape, spending time with each other and close friends.  While at the Cape, Ann could be found walking the canal, with a Freeze from her favorite ice cream spot the “DQ”.

Beloved wife of the late Wayne A. Travis.

Loving mother of Mark A. Travis and his wife, Emily, of Walpole and Michael J. Travis of Norfolk.

Cherished grandmother of Madison Travis and Mark "Moose" Travis.
