Anna T. Nardone

Anna T. (Lippolis) Nardone, age 91, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her home in Wrentham, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 19, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Francisco "Frank" and Marta (Mongelli) Lippolis.  Anna was raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1950.

Following her graduation, Anna took a position with the New England Telephone Company, working as a switchboard operator at the office on Stone Street in Walpole.  As a young woman, the phone company often called upon her to spend her summers on Cape Cod, ensuring there were enough operators available to handle the influx of vacationers.  Anna went on to take a promotion to the phone company's main office in Walpole Center, serving as an administrative assistant.

Anna married her beloved husband, Alberto A. Nardone, on July 5, 1975, in Saint Mary's Church in East Walpole.  The couple made their home together in Wrentham, Massachusetts and Anna continued her career with the phone company, remaining loyal through all the buyouts and name changes.

Throughout her life, Anna loved to travel.  As a young woman, she enjoyed trips down the east coast to visit Florida and looked forward to island getaways in the Caribbean with her closest friend.  After marrying Alberto, she was able to experience the world, and especially enjoyed trips to Italy, learning about her heritage along the way.  Back at home, Anna loved trying her luck at area casinos, always on the hunt for the big jackpot.  Most of all, Anna was devoted to her family, treasuring the moments she spent surrounded by those she loved.

Beloved wife of the late Alberto A. Nardone.

Devoted daughter of the late Frank and Marta Lippolis.

Loving sister of the late Maria Serena and her late husband, Victor, the late John Lippolis, and the late Concetta "Connie" Curtin and her late husband, Ronald.

Cherished aunt of Victor Serena, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Wrentham, Frank Serena of Taunton, Mary Kelly and her husband, Kevin, of Laconia, New Hampshire, Michael Curtin and his partner, Belinda, of Cranston, Rhode Island, John Curtin and his wife, Lori, of Walpole, and the late Jeffrey Serena.

Anna is also survived by Alberto's nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as many loving grand nieces, grand nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
