Annie Choi Ping Wong, age 69, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. Born in Hong Kong on June 21, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Tam Sun and Li Lai. She was raised in Hong Kong, attending high school at New Method College. Following her schooling, Annie worked as a waitress, hostess, and bartender in Hong Kong.
Annie immigrated to the United States of America to marry her beloved husband, Thomas Wong, Jr. They were married on May 5, 1978, in Boston and quickly made their home in Roslindale, where Annie took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family. In 1984, Annie and Thomas moved their family to Cudjoe Key, Florida, where they opened a restaurant, Jade Dynasty, working alongside each other. Three years later, the family moved back to Massachusetts, spending a short time in Dedham, before settling in Walpole. Annie went on to take a position with Zayre/Ames Department Store in Dedham, working in the customer service department before being promoted to a trainer. As Ames was phased out, Annie began her career with Home Depot in Quincy in 2002, serving as a bookkeeper. More recently, in 2011, Annie and her family made their home in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Throughout her life, Annie enjoyed traveling with her family, visiting many destinations in Canada, Asia, and around the world. She was always sure to have her camera in hand, capturing all the highlights of the trips. Back at home, she loved being in her kitchen, creating meals for her family to enjoy together. Annie adored listening to her favorite hits from The Beatles and the Bee Gees. She enjoyed relaxing and watching her favorite Chinese dramas, movies, and game shows. Annie also worked on knitting projects, completed jigsaw puzzles, and played card games and mahjong. Most of all, she was devoted to her family, treasuring each moment with those she loved.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Wong, Jr. and loving mother of Allen Wong of Foxborough, Andrea Wong of Foxborough, and Alexandra Wong of Boston.
