Audrey Wheeler

Audrey C, (Nylen) Wheeler, age 86, passed away at Norwood Hospital on Sunday July 8, 2018. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert E Nylen and Edith C. Nylen (Comstock). Audrey was raised in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School Class of 1951.

Audrey met the love of her life, Richard D. Wheeler, while working at Wimpy's Seafood Café & Market in Osterville, Massachusetts. They were married in West Boylston on October 27, 1956 and moved to Weymouth to start their life together. They settled in Milton to raise their family and welcomed Joanne in 1957, Janet in 1960, and Jim in 1961. With their hearts and home full, Audrey made her life's work the raising and caring of her family and household, taking the role of homemaker.

Audrey and Richard moved to Walpole after living in Milton for 20 years. They then moved to Mashpee for retirement, finding a home not too far away from the place where they met. Audrey then moved back to Walpole to be closer to family. Audrey was an active member of the Walpole Council on Aging, making many friends and keeping busy with all their social activities.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Audrey's Life
Celebration in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home
48 Common Street Walpole on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm.
A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday
at 11AM. Interment Rural Cemetery Walpole. Memorial donations
in her memory may be made to: Walpole Council on Aging,
