Beverly E. Happnie

Beverly E. (Black) Happnie, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Sunrise Senior Living Community in Norwood, Massachusetts.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Esther (Wahlstedt) Black.   in Boston, Massachusetts.  She was raised in the Hyde Park area of Boston, where she graduated from Hyde Park High School with the Class of 1954.  Following her graduation, Beverly took a position with Bird and Son in East Walpole, Massachusetts.
 
Beverly married her beloved husband, Joseph P. Happnie, on January 13, 1957.  Together they made their home in Walpole, where Beverly took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family.  As her four children grew up, Beverly returned to the working world, taking a part time position with Sun Life Financial in Needham.  After her husband passed in 1988, Beverly took a full-time position with the Boston Mutual Insurance Company in Canton.
 
Throughout her life, Beverly enjoyed watching the natural world around her.  She looked forward to taking walks through the woods, where she could see the splendor of nature up close.
 
Beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Happnie.
Loving mother of Nancy M. Pruell and her husband, Tom, Susan E. Sinclaire and her husband, William, Richard H. Happnie and his former wife, Jane Yurick Happnie, and Jeannie E. Mirabile all of Walpole.
Cherished grandmother of fourteen and great grandmother of twelve.
Sister of Carolyn E. "Betty" Riley of Walpole.
 
As a result of the ongoing and ever-developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Beverly's family has decided that her funeral services will be private, with interment taking place in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.  
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Compassionate Care Hospice, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3100, Woburn, MA 01801.
