Bruce A. Franklin

Bruce A Franklin, 67, of Norton, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on May 20, 2025. Fun-loving, kind and generous Bruce was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Raised in Stoughton, Mass, Bruce was the youngest of the three children born to the late Samuel Franklin and Gertrude (Shelly). Best known for his exceptional culinary skills and his love of rhythm guitar. Bruce could always be found at a grocery store, in the kitchen, fine-tuning his musical talent, or walking his dog.

Bruce graduated Stoughton High School in 1975 and continued his education earning his Bachelor’s of Science in culinary arts and restaurant management at Johnson and Wales University, Providence, RI. He then earned a Master’s of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Nichols College, Dudley, MA. In 1978, Bruce met the love of his life, Margaret “Penny” Kiely and they married February 9, 1986. Their love was filled with adventure, warmth, true friendship and much laughter. His proudest achievements are his wonderful kids - his son, Brett Adam and daughter, Jessica Ashley. Bruce is also survived by his sister, Rhonda Marcus of Stoughton, MA, his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, his numerous in-laws and all of the friends that loved and laughed with him for over 60 years.

We will miss Bruce every day and the echo of his laugh will remain in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at the United Church in Walpole, 30 Common Street, Walpole. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and interment will take place privately.
