Carole A. Brennan

April 15, 1941 — December 27, 2020

Carole A. Brennan, age 79, of Norfolk, passed away early in the morning on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 in her daughter’s home in Plainville. Born on April 15th, 1941, Carole was born to Ernest and Kate (Casey) Clifford in Birmingham, England. In 1954, Carole immigrated from England aboard the Queen Mary. She lived with her Aunt Mae in Norwood until her parents made their way to the States, residing in Boston. Carole graduated from Boston Public Schools with the Class of 1959, wasting no time finding work with the First National Store as a wrapper in their meat department.

In coming years, Carole was introduced to Paul R. Brennan by some of her friends and the two fell in love, promptly getting married. The new couple settled down in Quincy, where they welcomed their children Donna and Paul. While raising her family, she worked part time at Montillio’s Bakery until the Brennan’s moved to Norfolk in 1976, where she got a job at the Norfolk Pharmacy and remained a loyal employee there for 15 years.

Carole loved to travel with her husband, taking cruises and even later spending their winters down in Weston, Florida. Carole also enjoyed making ceramics and playing cards. She would also dedicate her time volunteering at the Quincy public schools and even adopted two cats, Tammy and Daisey, whom she loved dearly. When her grandchildren were born, she truly came alive, her heart so full of love for them.

Beloved wife of the late Paul R. Brennan.

Loving mother of Donna Enegren and her late husband, Craig, of Plainville and the late Paul Brennan.

Cherished grandmother of Kristi Enegren and the late Kyle Enegren.

Sister of John J. Clifford of Portland, Maine.

At the request of Carole’s family, all services are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
