Christine Cathryn Studley

Christine Cathryn (Champey) Studley, age 75, passed away after a brief illness on May 29, 2025, surrounded by her friends and loved ones at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 27, 1949, she was the daughter of Graham Joseph and Catherine Delphine (O'Leary) Champey. Chris was raised in Boston and attended Boston Public Schools. She continued her education at Boston University, eventually earning her MBA.

Chris met the love of her life, Charles M. Studley, while the pair were working in the Post Office Building for the US Government's General Services Administration. They were wed on May 10, 1975, in Newton, Massachusetts and later became parents with the birth of their son Matthew. Charlie was her best friend, a doting father, and a good man that she loved dearly.

Most of Chris' career was spent in human resources. She worked for New Life Counseling, and for the last 10 years served as HR Director for Arbour Counseling Services. Chris loved her work and considered her colleagues at Arbour to be like family to her.

Those who knew Chris described her as a passionately independent and strong woman. She was known for being quite the fashionista and always dressed to the nines. Chris loved amplifying her outfits with coordinating accessories like matching sunglasses and blingy earrings, bracelets, and rings. She had an extensive collection for every occasion and outfit.

Chris described herself as having a "feisty personality" and her hobbies included "Busting Peoples Asses!". Her happy place was visiting her friends Charles and David at the Dragonfly Guest House in Ogunquit, Maine. She had many wonderful vacations and trips up to The Pine Tree State over the years with her dear friend Betty, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Maine. She enjoyed fresh seafood, spending time by the sea, and looked forward to the relaxation created by being pampered. Chris was also an animal lover, having many pets over the years. She regularly met up with her friend Jeanette to walk their dogs at Clark Pond in Walpole. Her dog Lola meant the world to her and will be forever cared for by her dear friend Michele Paluzzi in her absence.

On behalf of Chris, it is important to acknowledge and extend thanks to her dear friends Elizabeth "Betty" Sibert and Jeanette Jones, as well as the staff at Tufts Medical Center for the incredible care that she received.

Beloved wife of the late Charles M. Studley.

Loving mother of Matthew Graham Studley of Foxboro.

Also survived by many friends and colleagues.

At the request of Chris' family, all immediate services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Chris’ name may be made to PAWS New England at P.O. Box 542, Ashland, MA 01721 or by visiting https://pawsnewengland.com/donate/
