Christopher T. O'Neil
Christopher O’Neil, of Mansfield, formerly of Walpole, passed away on March 30th at the young age of 53, after a courageous battle with cancer. Proud and devoted father of Jack and Megan O’Neil of Mansfield. Beloved son of Judith O’Neil of Walpole and Robert O’Neil of Appleton, ME. Cherished brother of Michael of Marshfield, Timothy of North Attleboro and Kathleen O’Neil of Dedham. Uncle and godfather to Liam Gunther, Danny and Kevin O’Neil and dear friend to so many.
Chris’ children, Jack and Megan were the light of his life and he loved spending time with them skiing, vacationing, and attending their sporting events. Chris loved life and lived it to the fullest, whether it was ski trips, concerts or just hanging out, he was always quick-witted and a joy to be around. Chris had a sense of humor that could light up a room and he truly touched everyone he met.
Chris graduated from Walpole High School in 1989 and New Hampshire College in 1993. Shortly after graduating college, Chris began his 20 year career at EMC. He was an award winning sales executive who represented EMC in some of the largest companies in the country. He spent several years working in Pittsburgh before returning to EMC headquarters in greater Boston. He rose through the ranks and managed large teams of salesmen in the healthcare sector, channel sector and specialty sales. He was well respected by the EMC executive team and his colleagues, many of whom considered him a legend. Following Dell’s acquisition of EMC, Chris joined the startup community and assisted several quality companies increase sales and grow their customer base, most recently NICE CXone.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the kind and compassionate staff at Dana Farber in Foxboro and the Brigham & Women’s Thoracic and Oncology staff in Boston.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Chris’ visitation on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the James Delaney & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Common Street Walpole, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole, on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chris’ memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or by visiting https://www.dana-farber.org and selecting ‘Donate’.
