Constance Ann Allen

Constance Ann (Famiglietti) Allen, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on April 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Marjorie L. (Doane) Famiglietti.  Connie was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1956.

After welcoming her six children, Connie took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family.  Once her youngest was enrolled in school, Connie began her career at Almy's at the Walpole Mall, overseeing the drapery department and earning the name "Connie Curtains."

While she worked hard, Connie always knew how to find some fun.  She enjoyed socializing with friends at Petracca's Bowling Lanes in Walpole and looked forward to attending Saturday night dances.  Connie attended countless softball games over the years, proudly supporting her family from the stands.  Escaping to her cottage at Rose Point in West Wareham was always a treat, and she often ventured out for a walk along the Cape Cod Canal.  After settling in Plainville, Massachusetts, Connie quickly joined the Senior Center, enjoying activities, trips and events with her new friends.  In more recent years, Connie regularly volunteered to be a "fur babysitter" for her children's pets while they were away on vacation.

Loving mother of Donna J. Anderson of Wrentham, John R. Allen, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of O'Fallon, Illinois, Catherine A. Wood and her late husband, Jim, of Valentines, Virginia, Mark S. Allen and his wife, Denise, of Decatur, Tennessee, Gayle M. Lancia and her husband, Armand, of Warwick, Rhode Island, and Joanne E. Allen of Plainville.

Cherished grandmother of Mark Anderson of Wrentham, Danielle Dancho and her husband, James, of Eureka, Missouri, Emily Walleck of Chicago, Illinois, James Wood of Valentines, Virginia, Jarred Wood and his wife, Heather, of Littleton, North Carolina, Jessica Wood of Valentines, Virginia, Kyle Allen of Columbus, Ohio, and Katherine Allen of Beaver Creek, Ohio; and great grandmother of Alaina, Kannon, and Brayden of Valentines, Virginia.
