Daniel Joseph Driscoll, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Boston Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 1, 1959, he was the son of John T. and Joan T. (Souza) Driscoll. He grew up in Norwood, Massachusetts.
Dan attended Blue Hill Regional Technical High School. After graduating, Dan began working various construction jobs, gaining valuable experience before taking off on his own. As a General Contractor and Master Electrician, Dan formed his own company. Dan’s work was a great source of pride for him.
Dan moved to nearby Walpole, Massachusetts where he would raise his family. Dan loved spending time with his children. Sometimes, to their delight, he would let them tag along with him to work, joking that they could drive the construction equipment long before they learned to read. He coached his son’s Pop Warner football teams and never missed a football game.
Dan enjoyed relaxing, laughing, and chatting with friends at the local Walpole VFW, his favorite stomping ground. It was there that he met and fell in love with his wife Wendy Lee Martin. They were married October 5, 2018, in Norwood.
Later in life, Dan was granted the title of "Papa", which truly brought him the most joy. He especially looked forward to facetiming with his grandsons, never missing an opportunity to make them laugh.
Dan loved spending time with his Golden Retrievers Brooke and Bella. Dan had a generous heart. If you were lucky enough to be Dan's friend, you were family. He was strong, never backing down, until the end of his days. As a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be truly missed.
Beloved husband of Wendy Lee (Martin) Driscoll.
Loving father of Deirdre, Sean and his wife Courtney, Colleen, David, and Angela; and step-father of Ashley and her husband Matthew, Zachary, and Brandon.
Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Liam, Frederick, and Connor; and step-grandfather of Layla, Kylee, and Madison.
Brother of Michael and his wife Claire, John and his wife Mary Kay, Mark and his wife Laurie, Theresa and her husband Steve, Diane and her husband Charlie, Cathy and her husband Phil, Joanie, and the late Christine.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Dan's visitation on Friday, July 17th, 2026, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
