Daniel Andre Roy, age 66, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada on December 4, 1958, he was the son of Paul O. and Therese J. (Charest) Roy. When Danny was only three months old, his parents immigrated to the United States of America, making their home in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Danny attended Woonsocket Public Schools, but left his formal education to seek out employment, helping to support his family. He enlisted in the Army National Guard at the age of eighteen, standing proud and ready to serve his country if necessary.
Danny married his beloved wife, Michelle Denise Lambert, on August 1, 1980, in Woonsocket's Saint Louis Church. The young couple made their home together in Woonsocket, welcoming two sons, Steve and Dave. Danny's career brought him to Avery Dennison in Framingham, where he served as a printer for many years. He remained loyal to the company through the relocation to Milford, spending more than twenty-five years in the printing field. More recently, Danny took a position with Silgan Polytop Corporation in Smithfield, where he called upon his years in the printing business to serve as a color expert, retiring only six months ago.
While home was in Woonsocket, Danny looked forward to escaping to his camp at Holiday Acres in North Scituate, building wonderful friendships over the years. As an avid outdoors man, Danny took full advantage of the fishing at camp, casting his line into the water, hoping to land a big bass. Sundays were reserved for horse shoes at camp, gathering with friends for an afternoon of comradary and competition. The nights were filled with storytelling and laughter, recounting the day or playing a hand or two of poker. Once the fall set in, Danny enjoyed spending time at one of his favorite hunting spots, keeping a lookout for a big buck that might wander his way. Danny's love of the outdoors carried over to the links, enjoying a day out on the golf course with his friends or co-workers, perfecting his game along the way.
Most of all, Danny was a devoted family man. He loved bringing his boys to camp in the summer, showing them all the ins and outs of fishing and hunting. Danny was delighted to earn the title of Pepe, enjoying countless hours playing with his grandson, John. His family even stretched to his fur baby, Taylor, taking his pup to the dog park in Woonsocket daily.
