David F. Mackenzie

June 7, 1965 — July 3, 2021

David F. Mackenzie, age 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home in Foxborough, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of Francis Mackenzie and Margaret M. (McGillicuddy) Mackenzie.  He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1983.  Following his graduation, Dave enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country as a strategic aircraft maintenance specialist, working on the large transport planes.  He was honorably discharged in October of 1989, after earning the rank of Sergeant.

Upon his return home to Walpole, Dave quickly found employment with State Street Bank.  In addition to working full-time, Dave took various college courses at Franklin Pierce College to enhance his knowledge of business banking, furthering his career.  In 2016, he joined Bank of New York and later joined Fidelity Information Services in 2018, where he served as the Head of Custody Operations.

Throughout his life, Dave loved spending time at the beach, looking forward to trips to Nantucket, Marshfield, and York, Maine.  Back at home, as an avid Boston Sports Fan, Dave loved cheering for his hometown team as they took on their rivals.

Most of all, Dave was devoted to his family. Dave married his beloved wife, Trina, on July 18, 2020, and together, they made their home in Foxborough, where they loved spending time around their fire pit, listening to music. He welcomed Trina's two children, Madeline and Samuel, into his life without hesitation.  As a devoted Dad, Dave loved spending time with Madeline, cheering for the Boston Bruins, catching up on some favorite movies, or encouraging her with her art projects.  Dave and Sam had a special bond over fishing, often casting rods into their favorite fishing holes or trying their luck on a deep-sea fishing adventure.

Beloved husband of Trina L. (Schneider) Mackenzie.
Father of Matthew T. Mackenzie and his wife, Jen, and Michael P. Mackenzie all of Millis.
Loving stepfather of Madeline R. Goldman and Samuel B. Goldman both of Foxborough.
Devoted son of Francis A. Mackenzie and his wife, Anet, of Walpole and Margaret M. (McGillicuddy) Mackenzie of Franklin.
Brother of Laura M. Cappabianca and her husband, John, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lisa A. Hayes and her husband, William, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Lynn E. Sudduth and her husband, Scott, of Norton, Christopher M. Mackenzie and his wife, Nancy, of Walpole, Caley A. Mackenzie of Biddeford, Maine, and Andrew P. Mackenzie and his wife, Gianna, of Valdosta, Georgia.
Also survived by his 12 nephews and 1 niece, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
