Drucilla E. Broccoli

Drucilla E. Broccoli, age 97, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts.  Born in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania on October 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Shank.  She was raised and educated in Hershey, Pennsylvania before moving to Florida, where she took a waitress’s position at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami.

While working in the hotel, Drucilla met her husband to be, Roland Joseph Broccoli.  They were married on June 7, 1952, in Rome, New York, and made their home together in Walpole, Massachusetts.  As Drucilla welcomed their children, she took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.  Once her children grew up, Drucilla returned to her career, taking a hostess position at the Spring Valley Country Club in Sharon.  She spent many years greeting her guests at the country club, retiring at the main hostess in the 90s.  In her retirement, Drucilla and Roland looked forward to escaping the cold and snow of New England, spending the winter months at their home in Barefoot Bay, Florida.

Throughout her life, Drucilla was an avid baker, creating delicious treats in her kitchen for her family to enjoy.  She also enjoyed keeping up with the current fashion trends, always looking her best.  Most of all, Drucilla loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Roland Joseph Broccoli.

Loving mother of Michael A. Broccoli and his wife, Patricia, of Walpole, Denise M. Broccoli of Walpole, the late Charles R. Broccoli. and the late David H. Broccoli and his Surviving fiancé, Vicky.

Cherished grandmother of Jenna M. Langwell of Attleboro and Michael C. Broccoli of Walpole; and great-grandmother of Gabriella R. Langwell.

Sister of the late Resta Miraarchi and Thelma Motel.

At the request of Drucilla's family, all funeral services will be private, with interment taking place in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
