Edward A. Larkin

Jun 9, 1945 — Jun 9, 2019

Edward A. Larkin, age 74, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Kearney) Larkin. Following graduation from school, Ed enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, serving with the Company A, 114 Medical Battalion.

Ed married his beloved wife, Barbara M. Angeloni 51 years ago. They initially made their home in Dedham, and after Ed’s discharge from the National Guard in 1971, the couple settled in Walpole, Massachusetts where Ed took a position with the Northrup Corporation in Norwood. He also spent a short time working for Merriman, Inc. in Hingham. In 2016, Ed retired from Capstan Atlantic, Norfolk, where he worked as a tool designer. In addition, Ed spent many evenings bartending at Concannon’s in Norwood, starting in the 1970s.

When Ed wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course and was a long-time member of the Monday night golf league at Royal Crest in Walpole. However, more than anything, Ed was a dedicated family man. He was delighted at the birth of his grandchildren and was always in attendance for their events.

Beloved husband of Barbara M. (Angeloni) Larkin. Loving father of Brian P. Larkin and his wife, Amy, of Walpole, Christopher E. Larkin and his wife, Rachael, of California, Timothy M. Larkin and his wife, Andrea, of Walpole, and the late Jonathan D. Larkin. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Conor, and Alexa. Brother of Joan Sager of Washington, the late Robert Larkin, the late Marie McLeod, the late Dorothy Baia, the late Jean McBride, and the late Margaret Gillis.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
