Evelyn Milliken Perry

Evelyn D. (Milliken) Perry, age 89, passed away in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Dorothy (Walsh) Milliken. She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, graduating from Walpole High School.

Evelyn married her beloved husband, John J. Perry, III, on June 24, 1950 and the young couple made their home together in Walpole in 1959, where they raised their family. After her children had graduated from high school, Evelyn took an inspector's position with Telco in Norwood, where she worked for 10 years.

Alongside her husband, John, Evelyn loved playing golf at Pine Oaks Country Club in Easton and they also enjoyed traveling to Florida together to visit their son on Big Pine Island and friends in Naples. In her more recent years, she became a regular at the bingo games at the Norwood Knights of Columbus Hall. Throughout her life, Evelyn loved spending time at the beach, especially spending time at Nantasket Beach with her daughter and grandsons every Wednesday. More than anything, Evelyn loved being surrounded by her family, close friends, and neighbors. She was delighted at the birth of her grandchildren, treasuring every minute with them.

Loving mother of Patricia Shanks and her husband Scott of Raynham, Joyce Perry and Dave Herrera of Ocean Shores, Washington, and the late John J. Perry, IV.
Cherished grandmother of Darian, Jordan, Olivia, Jake, and Kehpri.
Sister of Jean Cody-Blethen of Medway and the late Joan Crane.
Also survived by her cousins, Helen Gill of Stoughton and Helen Tomasso of Walpole.
