Frederick Russell Sickinger

Frederick Russell “Fritz” Sickinger, age 65, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Jerold Phelps Community Hospital in Garberville, California, with his sister, Annie by his side. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Victor “Bud” Sickinger and Annie “Nan” Russell. Fritz spent his early years in Walpole working for Sickinger’s Taxi. He attended the school of hard knocks before moving to California, where he found sobriety, peace, and happiness on the back forty of his sister’s farm.

He is survived by his son’s Frederick R. Sickinger of Brockton, Massachusetts and Nicholas M. Rhein of Port Treverton, Pennsylvania and five grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan, Samantha, Savannah and Vivian, his siblings, Victor “Buddy” Sickinger and his wife, Donna of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Elizabeth “Annie” Bowen Sickinger and her late husband Steve of Benbow, California and Eileen Soto Jensen and her husband, Rick of East Walpole, Massachusetts as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Fritz's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9 to 10:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.  A Funeral Service will follow in the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 62 Front Street, Walpole at 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place with his parents in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole.
