Helen H. (Henry) Maria, age 87, passed away peacefully in her South Attleboro, Massachusetts home on Thursday, November 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen (Welch) Henry.  She was raised in Norwood, graduating from Norwood High School with the Class of 1948.

A year after graduation, Helen married her beloved husband, Charles W. Maria, on September 3, 1949 in Norwood.  The young couple made their home together in Sharon, Massachusetts, where Helen took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family.  As her children grew up, Helen took a position with Thermoprint in Walpole, working as the head shipper.  She later took a job with Whiting and Davis in Attleboro, where she retired from in the early 1990s.

While she kept busy with her jobs, Helen also enjoyed her quiet time, relaxing with a good book or playing a round of Scrabble.  Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family and as a wonderful cook, she often prepared meals for all to enjoy.
