Jean Robertson Thompson

While the story of this earthly life ended on June 7, 2026, in the 85 years she was given Jean R. Thompson, spent the last 82 as a caring, compassionate big sister; the last 58 as a faithful, devoted wife; the last 55 as a loving, nurturing mother; and the last 23 as a proud, doting grandmother to 5 grandchildren. But what she would consider her greatest accomplishment was that, since a young child, she loved Jesus wholeheartedly, and her faith in Him remained strong, carrying her through all of her life’s journey.

As an outpouring of that faith, she sought to show sacrificial, Christ-like love to all – especially to those in the darkest of moments. From that desire, she chose to work most of her 34-year career as a hospice social worker, spending her life helping others navigate the process of death.

Jean’s earthly journey may have ended, but the legacy of her love, her faith, and her quiet strength lives on in all whose lives she touched. We rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply.

Beloved wife of Ray E Thompson.

Loving mother of Amy K. Larkin and her husband Brian of Walpole, and the late Graham M. Thompson and his wife Emily of Wrentham.
