Jeanette A. Penza

Jeanette A. (De Lucia) Penza, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts.  

Beloved wife of the late Carlo Penza, Jeanette was born in Franklin, Massachusetts, on May 8, 1925, to the late Antonio and Nicolina (Augelli) De Lucia. She was the sister of the late Nicholas De Lucia. 

Jeanette spent all of her adult life as an active member of the community of Walpole, Massachusetts. She worked as an administrative assistant in the Town of Walpole’s Treasurer’s office, she was the Assistant Treasurer for the Walpole Cooperative Bank and after retiring from that position, decided to take on a new challenge as the business manager for Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, also in Walpole. Jeanette retired for the second time at the age of 90. 

She was a member of the parish of Blessed Sacrament, a benefactor of Xaverian Brothers High School and a loyal, lifetime Red Sox fan through thick and thin. 

Jeanette is survived by her loving family: son Philip Penza and his wife Patricia of Eastham, MA; daughter Mary Lou Penza and her husband Roy Headley of Hampton, NH, daughter Donna Pickener and her husband Kenneth of Norwood, MA; grandson Lawrence Pickener and his wife Jill of Framingham, MA; granddaughter Julienne Penza Boone and her husband Emmett of Center Moriches, NY and grandson Michael Penza, Esq. of New York City, NY. 
She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Ryleigh and Alexander
Boone of Center Moriches, NY and Lily Grace Pickener of Framingham, MA.
Jeanette also leaves many cherished friends and a large extended family including her brother-in-law Robert Penza of Medway, MA, and niece Sandra Dahlfred of Merrimack, NH.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jeanette's visitation on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

All are invited to gather in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 9:30 AM, prior to Jeanette's Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
