Jeffrey R.L. Bringhurst

September 22, 1992 — July 2, 2021

Jeffrey R.L. Bringhurst, age 28, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 22, 1992, he was the son of Richard and Lindsay (Boyd) Bringhurst.  He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he was a three-season athlete, playing Pop Warner Football, Walpole Youth Basketball, and Babe Ruth Baseball as a boy.  Upon entering Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Jeff brought his athleticism to the rugby field, as a member of the first Xaverian Rugby Team.  Upon his graduation in 2010, Jeff continued his studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Jeff’s working career began at Betro’s Pharmacy in Walpole center.  However, as a great cook, Jeff went on to take a position at Leo's Pizzeria in Walpole before finding his home in the kitchen at the Salem Market in Dedham, where he has worked for the past few years.

Jeff loved spending time with his friends.  He looked forward to poker nights with his buddies or running the table in the Billiard Hall at Napper Tandy's in Walpole Center.  His tremendous intelligence allowed him to conquer video games, learn new card games, and master any board game he came across.  As an avid Boston Sports Fan, he looked forward to spending a night at the Boston Garden, cheering for his hometown team, the Bruins, or tailgating outside Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, preparing to watch the Patriots take on their rivals.

Most of all, Jeff treasured the time he spent with those who loved him so much, his parents and brothers.  He and his brothers shared a special bond over the game of golf and spent many hours talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves on various courses in the area.

Devoted son of F. Richard and S. Lindsay Bringhurst of Walpole.
Loving brother of Ryan C. Bringhurst of Walpole and Troy L. Bringhurst of Cambridge.
Cherished nephew of David G. Boyd (Jeffrey's Godfather) and his wife, Nancy, of Huntersville, North Carolina, Carol M. Oaks and her late husband, Bob, of Marmora, New Jersey, and Beth Enggren and her husband, David, of Winthrop.
Also survived by his longtime friend and former nanny, Annie Woods of Michigan, and by his Godmother Kathleen Larsen and her husband, Jeff, of Round Pond, Maine.
Cousin of David Boyd, Heather Wiggins and her husband, Brice, Robert McAllister and his wife, Erin, Kim Pettit and her husband, Bob, and Erick McAllister and his wife, Adriana; and second cousin of Kiley, Sean, Jack, and Izzy.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Jeffrey's visitation on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
