Joan Marie McKeon

Joan Marie (Struzzieri) McKeon, age 76, of Wrentham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Joan was the beloved wife of Michael J. McKeon, her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years. Their marriage was a beautiful example of lifelong love, devotion, and partnership.

Born and raised in Roslindale, Joan was the cherished daughter of the late Anthony Struzzieri and Lucy Struzzieri. Family was always at the center of her life.

She was a loving mother to Christopher McKeon of North Attleboro and Kerri Thompson and her husband Robert Thompson of Wrentham. Joan was a proud and devoted nana to Zoe McKeon, Ava McKeon, Brayden Thompson, Mason Thompson, and Addison Thompson. She rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on at their sporting events.

Joan is also survived by her sister Carol Demas of Easton and her brother Tom Struzzieri and his wife Donna of Plymouth, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

An athlete at heart and, voted most athletic by her fellow high school classmates, Joan loved staying active throughout her life. She enjoyed playing on her softball teams, volleyball, running, swimming, and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities. A longtime and loyal New England Patriots fan, Joan never missed watching a game and cheered passionately every season.

Joan will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit, her legendary pool parties that welcomed everyone on Park Street, and her famous homemade calzones that brought family and friends together. Her warmth, hospitality, and love of family created memories that will be treasured forever.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Joan's visitation on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

A funeral home service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
