Johanna Katherine Fournier-Shubitowski

Johanna Katherine (Spadaro) Fournier-Shubitowski, age 91, passed away in the Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Anna (Juliano) Spadaro.  She was educated in the Boston Public School System, graduating with the Class of 1945.

 

Johanna spent her working career at Polaroid in the Human Resources Department, serving as a benefits administrator.  She retired in 1990 after 45 years of dedicated service.

 

In her spare time, Johanna enjoyed working out, sewing, quilting, and spending time outdoors.  She looked forward to spending time in the warmer climate of Boynton Beach, Florida every year.

 

Beloved wife of Leo J. Shubitowki and the late Arthur E. Fournier.

Loving mother of Sandra Jones of North Attleborough and Robert A. Founier of Naples, Florida.

Cherished grandmother of Channa I. (Jones) Izzo of North Attleborough and Brendan Fournier of Andover; and great grandmother of Dexter Izzo.

Sister of Catherine Gorey of Boynton Beach, Florida and the late John Spadaro.

 

All services were private at the request of Johanna’s family.  Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
