John F. Groark

John F. Groark, age 70, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 29, 1955, he was the son of John J. and Irene A. (Fleming) Groark.

John was raised in Walpole, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1973. Following his graduation, John began taking courses at Boston State College, however, he quickly discovered his passion for the courtroom and enrolled in Massachusetts School of Law.

After his graduation and passing the bar, John opened his own practice, John F. Groark, Attorney, based in Walpole, helping navigate the legal system for countless clients over the years. Not one to retire, John was still handling cases until his hospitalization.

When he wasn't hard at work, John enjoyed spending time on the ocean at his family's summer home on Swift's Beach in Wareham. He quickly learned how to maneuver around Buzzard's Bay aboard his boat, enjoying the peace and tranquility that the ocean provided.

Loving brother of Theresa A. Browne and her husband David of Franklin, James W. Groark of Walpole, Paul D. Groark of Townsend, and the late Catherine E. Foley and her late husband Phil.

Cherished uncle of Elisabeth, Colleen, Christina, and Ryan.

At the request of John's family, all funeral services will be held privately.
