John Domenic Simeone

August 4, 1938 — January 26, 2022

John Domenic Simeone, Esq., age 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts, with his loving wife by his side.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on August 4, 1938, he was the son of the late John B. and Mary M. (Morganti) Simeone.  He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1956.  John continued his education at Boston University's College of Liberal Arts, earning his bachelor's degree, with a focus on History and Political Science, in 1960.  He began taking courses at Boston University's School of Law but in 1961, transferred to their Graduate School of Education, earning his Massachusetts Teaching Certificate.  John returned to his law studies in 1962, taking classes at the New England School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1965.

Following his graduation, John's law career began at the Law Offices of Princi & Lecomte in Boston.  A year later, John formed his own practice in Walpole, helping many members of his community.  He also took a position with the Walpole Public School Department, working as a substitute teacher.  John taught a variety of subjects at Walpole High School, including history, social studies, civics, business law, biology, and general science.  In addition, John taught an adult education course at the high school, "Law for the Layman."  John left his teaching career in 1972, to focus on his law practice, after being admitted to practice before the Federal District Court of Massachusetts and the United States Supreme Court.  As a way to enhance his career, John became a Licensed Real Estate Broker with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

John married his beloved wife, Ethel Rose Wallace, on August 9, 1986.  Together they made their home in Walpole, where John began his collection of artifacts and memorabilia from World War II, including US Army Jeeps.  He and his wife enjoyed participating in parades, displays, and dances relating to World War II, to support veterans.

John continued to serve his clients in his office on Main Street for many years. In 2019, John moved his practice to his home, where he enjoyed working with his clients from his home office.   As a distinguished lawyer, John was a former member of the Board of Trustees of the New England School of Law and was the founding editor of the New England School of Law Alumni Newsletter.
