John William Lippolis

John William Lippolis, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, surrounded by his Wife and Children.

Born in Norwood on August 21, 1959, John was the son of John A. and Anna (Scandalardo) Lippolis. He grew up in Walpole, Massachusetts, and graduated with the Walpole High School Class of 1978. After high school, he began his career in masonry with a local chimney sweeping company before joining the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union. His early work and training sparked a deeper ambition, John wanted to build something lasting, be his own boss, and wanted something to carry his name.

John met his beloved wife, Laurie M. Bradley, in Walpole, and they were married on May 4, 1979. They were blessed with twins, Jason and Jennifer, and raised their family in Mansfield. It was there that John took his passion into his own hands, founding JW Masonry; now known as John William Masonry BRS, LLC. He had a deep love for history, which led him to specialize in restoring historical buildings throughout Boston. His craftsmanship, integrity, dedication and his way with people earned him a loyal client base which led to a thriving business. For the past decade, John and Laurie made their home in Blackstone, where he continued to pour his heart into both his family and his work.

When John wasn’t working, he was giving. He stepped up for friends, family, and even strangers always ready to lend a hand, offer support, or share whatever he had. He was the kind of person who showed up, and if you did right by him, you knew he’d always be there. In his later years, John found joy in collecting antique pieces that spoke to him, from furniture, statues to trinkets and art. He had a nostalgic eye for memorabilia from his generation, drawn to the stories each item carried.

John was a lifelong Patriots fan, from taking his kids to games at Sullivan Stadium to attending multiple Super Bowls. John believed in sharing all his adventures and experiences with his workers, friends, and family. “The more, the merrier” was his motto, even if he never said it out loud. John loved people, all kinds, and they loved him right back. Cape Cod was his peace place, especially laying in the sand and swimming in the ocean with his grandkids. He spent countless vacations there surrounded by friends, family, and his cherished grandchildren.

When John became a grandfather at age 47, his perspective on life shifted. He embraced the role of “Papa John” with pride and joy, going above and beyond to be present, supportive, loving and a good role Model. His grandchildren were his heart, and he made sure they knew it every single day.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Laurie M. Lippolis; his daughter, Jennifer Morris of Wrentham; his son, Jason A. Lippolis, along with his wife, Jennifer, of Foxborough; and five grandchildren he treasured deeply: Madison, Zander, Molly, Micayla, and Julia.

He was the devoted son of Anna (Scandalardo) Lippolis of Walpole and the late John A. Lippolis. He is the loving brother of Grace Lippolis, Marta Kenney, Rose Deeb, Anne Urquhart, Patricia Broccoli , Joseph Lippolis, and Phillip Lippolis

John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews cousins and more.
