Joseph Carmody

Joseph “Joe” Carmody, age 88, of West Palm Beach, Florida, formally of Norfolk, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024. Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, he and his wife built their home and their lives in Norfolk. 

Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann Carmody, his son John “Jack” Carmody of Somerset, Massachusetts, daughter Mariann DuPont and her husband, Mark, of Florida, his grandchildren Joe Carmody and his wife, Caitlin, Sara Confar and her husband, Rich, Merrick DuPont, Morgan DuPont, and Brandon DuPont and his wife, Meagan, 5 great-grandchildren, his brother Robert Carmody and his wife, Linda, of California, and Richard Carmody and his wife, Diane, of Arizona, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Joe was predeceased by son Matthew Carmody. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Joe’s Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Jude’s Church, 86 Main Street, Norfolk on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in the Norfolk Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
