Judith M. Hezlitt

July 28, 1952 — December 30, 2018

Judith M. Hezlitt, age 66, passed away in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, December 30, 2018.  Born in Arlington, Massachusetts on July 28, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Bernice M. (Chaplin) Hezlitt.  She was raised in Wilmington, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1970. 
 
Following graduation, Judy took a secretarial position with Raytheon in their Bedford office.  While working at Raytheon, Judy took classes at Northeastern’s University College, earning her Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on sociology/anthropology.  She continued with Raytheon, later transferring into the Human Resources Department and retiring in 2017. 
 
Throughout her life, Judy was an avid Boston sports fan, and particularly loved following the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots.  After meeting the love of her life, Norman P. DeSalvo, she made her home with him at the Medway Senior Housing in 1999.  She and Norm loved spending time together, often taking rides in their van to see the sights.  Together they enjoyed visiting the apple orchards in Stow, Massachusetts and they always looked forward to spending the Fourth of July at the Cape Cod Canal, watching the fireworks displays.
 
Judy is survived by the love of her life, Norman P. DeSalvo, of Medway and her brother, Robert Hezlitt and his wife, Gesina,, of Batavia, New York,, her nieces, Rhonda Grammatico and her husband, Matthew, Rebecca Despard and her husband, Gregg, and Renee Breeze and her husband, David, as well as many friends.
 
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Judy’s visiting hours on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.  A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The MSPCA, 350 S Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
