Julia Alice Kucab

Julia Alice Kucab, age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on July 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Janosz) Kucab. She spent her early years in Manchester and at the age of thirteen moved to Watertown, Massachusetts, where she graduated from the Perkins Institute in 1942. Following her graduation, Julia continued her education, attending Saint Anne's Convent School in Arlington Heights.

Julia made her home in East Walpole, Massachusetts, where she took a position with Bird and Son, working as a word processing correspondent. Twenty-five years later, Julie moved to Norwood and in 1982, she settled in Brockton, Massachusetts. Following her retirement from Bird and Son in 1983, Julia took a position with McDonald's, earning funds to book her trip to Europe. After making her home in Wrentham in 2006, Julia led a support group for the blind in the neighboring town of Franklin at their senior center for many years. Most recently, Julia made her home in Attleboro in 2018.

During her free time, Julia enjoyed dancing, shopping, and sending cards to her friends for different occasions. More recently, Julia enjoyed listening to audio books and corresponding with her friends.

Devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Janosz) Kucab.

Loving sister of Rose Spiewak of Hooksett, New Hampshire, the late Helen Spiewak, and the late John Kucab.

Cherished aunt of two nieces, three nephews, two great-nieces, and two great-nephews.

Also survived by many loving friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Julia's visitation on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint Mary's Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Martin's Cemetery in Hooksett, New Hampshire.
