Kaylee Schaier Burke

July 22, 2002 — November 13, 2022

Kaylee Schaier Burke, age 20, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 22, 2002, she was the daughter of Kevin E. Burke and Kimberly Roy (Schaier) Cohn, and raised in Wrentham, Massachusetts. As a young girl, Kaylee found her love for dance, taking lessons at Loral Sims School of Dance in North Attleborough, and was accomplished in ballet, point, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Upon entering high school at King Phillip in Wrentham, Kaylee took her knowledge of dance and stage life to the drama club, performing in many theatrical performances. In addition to the drama club, Kaylee was a member of the honors choir and was sought out to sing the National Anthem under the Friday night lights throughout her senior year.

Kaylee’s true passion was theater performance, and prior to graduating high school, she took classes at The New York City Broadway Artist’s Alliance. She was captivated by the bright lights and music with a special love for Gershwin. Kaylee attended more than fifty performances and could often be found excitedly waiting by the stage's back door to mingle with the performers. Her love for the theater, passion for growing as a performer and tenacity to hone her craft was admirable and resulted in collaboration, mentoring and friendships with the performers she most admired. During the pandemic, Kaylee served her community, working at the Gillette Stadium vaccine site. More recently, Kaylee began taking courses to earn her degree though the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, utilizing their distance learning program. When she needed a break from her studies, she loved taking her dog, Meiko, for a walk or spending time with her two cats, Panda, and Paws.

Beloved daughter of Kevin E. Burke and his wife, Erin, of Mansfield and Kimberly Roy (Schaier) Cohn and her husband, Peter, of Wrentham.

Loving sister of Andrew K. Burke of Blackstone and Dylan T. Burke and his wife, Brittany, and aunt of Savanna M. Burke of Wrentham.

Cherished granddaughter of Maureen J. (Sullivan) Burke and the late Edward A., of Easton and Warren C. and Sandra J. Schaier of Wrentham.

Loved niece of Maureen J. Burke of Baltimore, Maryland and Scott A. Schaier and his wife, Sarah, of Durham, New Hampshire.

Dear cousin of Charles Schaier and Siena Schaier both of Durham, New Hampshire.
