Lawrence Edward Ketvirtis

Lawrence Edward "Larry" Ketvirtis, age 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Serenity Hill in Wrentham, Massachusetts with his daughter by his side. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward and Paula (Kay) Ketvirtis. Larry was raised in Milton, Massachusetts, where, as a young boy, he found his love for the game of basketball. He took his newly acquired skills and height with him to Milton High School, where he played on the varsity team. During his senior year, he was scouted by Providence College, earning a spot on the Friar's Basketball Team. Following a head injury, Larry finished out his college years at Curry College, receiving his bachelor's degree.

As a young man, Larry found work in the private sector of security. He was employed by a wealthy family in Milton, who he dubbed "The Millionaire" for several years. He went on to take a job as a taxi driver in South Boston before earning a position with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), working at Boston's Logan Airport.

Larry worked hard both on and off the job. He was a devoted son to his parents, Edward and Paula, providing care and support in their later years. Larry was also very devoted to his Catholic faith, praying the Rosary daily and encouraging others to pray with him. Most of all, Larry loved putting a smile on other people's faces. Whenever he was asked if he needed anything, he dropped his catchphrase, "A Coke and A Smile".

Larry is survived by Melissa Ann (Betro) Madden and her boyfriend, Gregory DeVincent; and her children Bradley Madden, Victoria Madden, and Alan "A.J." Betro-Canale.
