Lorraine (Hamilton) Lovely

March 5, 1947 — April 1, 2022

Lorraine (Hamilton) Lovely was born to Mark and Elizabeth Nathan on March 5, 1947. She passed away on April 1, 2022, with her loving husband, and children, by her side. Lorraine grew up in Roslindale, Massachusetts with her brother, Mark. She graduated from Jeanne d'Arc Academy and went to finishing school at Academie Moderne.

She met the love of her life, Alan Lovely, and wed in 1995, and together they created a loving, blended family. They moved to Delaware with their best friends in 2001 to chase their dream of building a horse training facility, Dovington Training Center. They enjoyed the past 20 years surrounded by beautiful horses and their extended "farm" family. They loved to travel in their camper, and have visited many beautiful destinations, her favorite being Mount Rushmore. She was a great water skier in her youth, liked to ride her moped, and do weekend getaways to New Hampshire. She was a true cat lover who rescued and homed many.

As a single mother, Lorraine worked extremely hard to raise three children with the never-ending support of Aunt Peg, Gram, and Bus. In her early career, she enjoyed working at Saga Holidays helping people plan their dream vacations. As a benefit to this work she was able to take each of her three kids individually on their first vacation.

Lorraine could often be found sitting at her computer playing games and trolling Facebook while tapping her nose.

She was the most positive, caring, generous, and free-spirited person who truly lived life on her own terms. She will be remembered for her strong sense of family and her carefree attitude.

Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Mark Nathan, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Nathan; and brother, Mark Nathan, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Lovely; son, Mark "Randy" Hamilton and his wife Andrea; daughter, Jayne Hamilton and her fiancé' Bill Brock; son, Benjamin Hamilton and wife Paula; son, Torgun Lovely and his wife Kathy; daughter, Wendy Lovely and her husband Phil; daughter, Belinda Tucker; son, Robert "Rocky" Lovely and wife Sindhu; and son, Jeremy Lovely. Lorraine is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda, Alexa, Daniel, Kate, Meghan, Kiley, Kerriann, Nick, Hannah, Mathias, Parker, Sofia, Oscar, Remy, and Micah; as well as great-grandchildren, Jax, Lily, Charlie, and Avery; and many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Lorraine is survived by her best friend and constant companion, Carolyn Franklin.

Lorraine truly lived up to her "Lovely" name. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
