Lorraine Silvestri

August 31, 1958 — July 1, 2022

Lorraine Silvestri died of cancer on July 1, 2022, at her Walpole home. She was 63 years old.

Lorraine was the daughter of the late John A. and Consiglia (Marinelli) Silvestri of Walpole. She attended Walpole schools, graduating from Walpole High School in 1976. She then attended the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where she majored in Illustration and earned her BFA in 1980.

Her early career included work as a designer for several local advertising agencies, where she developed design concepts for client pitches and then executed them into final designs for executed campaigns. Beginning in 1992, she launched her own freelance design and illustration business creating logos, collateral, and story and book illustration for major healthcare, publishing, manufacturing, and restaurant clients.

Lorraine’s interests and activities included portrait painting, dancing, jewelry-making, birds and wildlife, swimming, fitness, restoring her antique home, and bombing around in her M3 convertible. She was an inquisitive, modest, and playful soul who found or created fun and beauty in everything she did.

She is greatly missed and survived by: her fiancé Frank A. Stefansson Jr. of Walpole; her sister Susan Silvestri of Attleboro; a large extended family that included her numerous beloved and close cousins, in-laws, nephews, and nieces; and by her many lifelong friends.

Final arrangements by the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole. Service and burial will be private at the direction of the deceased. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Massachusetts Audubon’s Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon MA (Tax ID 04-2104702,
