Louise C. Eno

December 29, 1934 — August 7, 2020

Louise C. (Rowe) Eno, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020 in her Walpole, Massachusetts home, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on December 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Elliott and Clarrisa (Wilson) Rowe.  She was raised in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, where she met the love of her life, Henry James "Hank" Eno.  On their first date, Hank took Louise to the old Boston Garden where they enjoyed watching a Bruins game together, thus beginning their lifelong passion for Boston sports.

Shortly after the start of their courtship, Hank began his service in the United States Navy, however in 1953, he sent for Louise to join him on base in Staten Island, New York, where they were married on August 1st.  Louise took on the role of a homemaker, caring for her young family.  Following Hank's discharge, Louise moved her family to their home in Dedham, Massachusetts, where she raised her six children.  After her children grew up, Louise began her working career, taking positions with both Hogie Bear Snacks and the Henry S. Wolkins Company.

While the Boston Bruins were Louise's first sports love, the New England Patriots were a close second.  Louise looked forward to cheering for her favorite Boston teams whenever they were playing and remained vocal about her opinions of the players and referees.  In addition to her love for Boston sports, Louise enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, working on her jigsaw puzzles, and crafting wonderful meals for her family to enjoy.  One of her specialties was her spaghetti sauce, which was made in large batches so everyone could take some home.  Most of all, Louise was dedicated to her family.  She and Hank spent 63 wonderful years together and were incredibly proud of their children.  She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and, as a doting grandmother, she loved spending time with all of them.  Louise was thrilled to see her family continue to grow with the addition of great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren, who will keep her legacy and vibrant love for the Bruins going for years to come.
