Malcolm G. Slye, April 2, 2022, age 94, of Walpole, MA, Lebanon ME and Cocoa Beach, FL. Formerly of Boston, MA Back Bay. Beloved husband of Mary Louise (Smith) Slye, devoted father of Jonathan P. Slye (deceased), Therese Slye of Cocoa Beach FL, Malorie J. Dwyer of Kingston, MA and Christopher J. Slye of Walpole, MA. Loving son of Helen F.McSorley and Malcolm G. Slye Sr., Sister Patricia A. Hughes of Medford, MA and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Grandfather of Daniel and Aspen Slye, of Walpole MA.  Nicholas Slye, of Walpole, MA.  Patrick and Kelly Dwyer of Bridgewater, MA, Wesley Dwyer and Jennifer Casalini of Brockton, MA, Ryan and Katie Dwyer of Weymouth, MA. Great-grandfather to Brody, Brooke, and Jake Dwyer, Violette and Vance Dwyer, and two great grandchildren to be.

 

Graduate, High School of Commerce, Boston, MA 1945, drum major and captain bugle and drum, lettered in basketball and football. US Navy veteran 1945-1946, bugler, Pensacola, FL. Attended Northeastern University 1947-1949 evening division. Graduated Burdett College, Boston, MA 1951. Prudential Insurance agent, staff manager, LUTC. Graduate Underwood Corp., salesman Boston, MA. National accounts manager for the Royal Typewriter Company Boston, MA. Lecturer Boston University on office equipment. Vice President Board of Directors SPEBSQSA (Barber Shoppers, Walpole, MA). Member of Boston Kiwanis club.

President/Director of Camp Allen for blind girls. Retired regional manager Facit Electronics, Stockholm, Sweden and Sharp Electronics. Justice of the Peace.

 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Malcolm’s visitation on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

 

His funeral service and interment will be private at the request of his family.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brockton VA Medical Center, Building 7, Hospice Palliative Unit, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
