Margaret V. Pomer

MRS. MARGARET V. (VanDam) POMER AGE 70 YEARS DIED IN HER WALPOLE HOME SURROUNDED BY HER FAMILY ON FRIDAY EVENING, July 29th, 2005. Born in Boston, Massachusetts , the daughter of the late Arie & Blanche (Merchant) VanDam. She attended the Roslindale Public Schools and was a 1952 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamacia Plain.

A resident of Walpole for the past 35 years moving here West Roxbury.

Mrs. Pomer worked for six years as a secretary in the Walpole Recreational Department. Most recently she worked with her son, Charles, as a secretary for his company Independent Pool Service. A member of the Saint Timothys Church in Norwood.

Beloved wife of 50 years to Donald F. Pomer, Sr. Loving mother of John & his wife Christine Pomer of Walpole, Charles Pomer of Wrentham, Donna & her husband Paul Burke of Plainville, Donald F. & his wife Maryann Pomer, Jr. of Walpole, and Linda & her husband Anthony Verrochi of Wrentham. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Pomer of Walpole, Matthew , Ashley & Michael Burke all of Plainville, Courtney & Samantha Pomer of Walpole, and Scott & Lauren Verrochi of Wrentham. Sister of Mathys VanDam of Maine and the late Alfred VanDam.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Timothy's Church Nichols St Norwood on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 @ 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited visiting hours are Tuesday Afternoon 4 to 8 PM, in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment St. Francis Cemetery Walpole.
