Marjorie Theresa Dunham

Marjorie Theresa (Brady) Dunham, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her loving home in Plainville, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 20, 1939, to the late George E. and Margaret Lillian (Johnson) Brady. Margie grew up in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and graduated from Roslindale High School in 1957. After high school, she started working in an office at the Boston Police Department, out of their headquarters.

Margie married her dear husband, Leavitt "Skip" Dunham, Jr., on November 29, 1969, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole. They first made their home in Framingham before settling in Norwood, where they welcomed their son Ken. Besides raising her family, Margie worked full-time doing clerical work at the Barnstead Co. in West Roxbury.

In the late 1970s, Margie and Skip built a cozy home on West Street in Walpole, a special place where they raised their son Ken, along with their two adorable golden retrievers, Kelly and Katie. Margie also dedicated herself to a career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working as a payroll specialist at MCI Walpole for fifteen years.

Throughout her life, Margie loved being part of several local car clubs with Skip. They were longtime members of the Bay State Antique Auto Club in Dedham, the Model A Restorers Club of Massachusetts (MARCOM) in Foxborough, and the Minuteman Model A Club in Sudbury. They enjoyed taking exciting car trips together and eagerly looked forward to traveling to destinations like Hawaii, Alaska, California, and Aruba.

At home, Margie enjoyed spending time outdoors—whether tending to her flower gardens or taking walks around the neighborhood with her dogs. She loved hosting gatherings, putting her special touch on everything from cookouts to Christmas parties. Recently, Margie and Skip moved to Plainville, where they happily met their new neighbors at Sunset Acres.

Beloved wife of Leavitt "Skip" Dunham, Jr.

Loving mother of Kenneth M. Dunham of Franklin and stepmother of Donald J. Dunham of South Yarmouth.
