Mark D Houlihan, age 59, of Plainville MA passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Mark was born in Walpole MA to Jack and Margaret (Dahill) Houlihan. After graduating from Bishop Feehan High School in 1982, he entered the US Army. It was in the Army that he learned the auto mechanic trade and grew to be a gifted mechanic.
He worked for many years at a local auto dealership before leaving the profession to become a certified personal trainer and massage therapist, the job he truly loved. As owner of MDH Clinics, Mark worked with several hundred clients who started as customers but quickly became friends.
Mark was passionate about his classic ‘71 & ‘73 Cougars, shooting his recurve bow and winning the IBO (International Bowhunting Organization) world championships. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains, deer hunting and tending to his yard. Mark was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Commission, where he traveled the world honoring all those who served our country.
He leaves behind his wife of 22 years Samantha (Salwa) Houlihan, siblings, Jackie Wenzel and her husband Steve, Thomas Houlihan, Michael Houlihan, Carolyn Houlihan, Robert Houlihan and many beloved nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Mark’s Life Celebration on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
