Mary B. Paglari

Mary B. Paglari, 90, passed away on August 21, 2022, at the Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 3, 1932, she was the only daughter to Darby and Bridget (Flaherty) Greaney. She was raised in Norwood, where she graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1950.  Mary continued her education at Burdett School of Business in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Having an eye for things that sparkle, Mary spent her working career as a department head at the Plainville Stock Company. There she spent most of her time in the vault selecting fine gems for shipment to major vendors. She stayed in this position until she retired.

Mary married the love of her life, Warren F. Paglari on September 11, 1954, in St Catherine's Church in Norwood, Massachusetts. They chose a home in Plainville, Massachusetts to raise their three daughters. She had a deep love for the ocean and enjoyed spending time at a summer home in Chatham which became a residence after she and Warren retired. She was also a snowbird and enjoyed making an escape from the cold New England weather to the sunny skies of Barefoot Bay, Florida.

A firm believer in retail therapy, Mary found a lot of enjoyment going shopping for her girls, grandchildren and of course occasionally picking up something to treat herself. In order to stay active, she liked to play golf and bocce. She had an incredible green thumb that showed through in her gardening. She was able to get both vegetable gardens and flower gardens to thrive. She took a course in floral arranging and would use flowers from her gardens to make beautiful arrangements.

Loving mother of Betty Ann Shrader and her husband Jon of Kissimmee, FL, Barbara Donahue and her late husband James of Chatham, MA, and Patricia Morin and her late husband Thomas of Quartz Hill, CA.

Cherished grandmother of Danielle and her husband Kevin Anderson, of North Kingstown, RI, Warren Plante and his wife Kim of North Attleboro, MA, Jonathan Schrader and his wife Katie of Phoenix, AZ, Thomas Morin of Quartz Hill, CA, Olivia Morin of Quartz Hill, CA, and Great grandmother to 5.

She is preceded in death by her husband Warren F. Paglari and three brothers, Joseph Graney, Fr. Francis Greaney, and William Greaney.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation that will be held on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022, from 9-10 am at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home in Walpole, MA.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022, at 10:30 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond St, Walpole, MA 02081. Interment will take place at Saint Francis Cemetery.
