Mary Jane (Flynn) Walsh, age 97, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts. Born in Clinton, Massachusetts on October 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Francke) Flynn. She was raised in Clinton, where she graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1942. Following her graduation, Jane settled with her family in Walpole, Massachusetts and took a sales position with Holt's Department Store.
Jane married her beloved husband, Joseph T. Walsh, on September 25, 1948, in Blessed Sacrament Church. The young couple made their home together in Walpole, where they welcomed three boys, Tim, Mike, and Jerry. As a young mother, Jane left her working career, taking on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. As her sons grew up, Jane returned to her career, taking a sales position with Orent Brothers in Norwood. She later worked in the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in the kitchen and went on to work in Campbell's Dress Shop in Walpole Center.
Throughout her life, Jane was dedicated to her faith and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole, joining the Catholic Women's Club and the Sodality organization.
Jane loved spending time in her kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her family to enjoy together. However, she was most known for her baking skills, making cookies, cakes, and pies for everyone she knew, as well as patients in area nursing homes.

Loving mother of J. Timothy Walsh, Jr. and his late wife, Maureen, of Norfolk, Michael Dennis Walsh and his wife, Margie, of Wrentham, and Gerald Francis Walsh and his wife, Doreen, of Norfolk.
Cherished grandmother of Justin Walsh of Wrentham, Scott Walsh and his wife, Amy, of Westford, Bryan Walsh and his wife, Jillian, of Franklin, Daniel Walsh and his wife, Laurel, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and David Walsh and his wife, Michelle, of Norfolk; and great grandmother of Jordan Walsh, Brodie Walsh, and Cordelia Walsh.
Sister of the late John Flynn, the late Gerald I. Flynn, and the late Virginia Mauritz.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jane's visitation on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30 in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
