Nancy Ann Bilski

Nancy Ann (Foley) Bilski, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at her home in South Walpole, Massachusetts with her loving daughter by her side. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on February 20, 1940, she was the daughter of Thomas Francis and Margaret Mary (Boyle) Foley.

Nancy was raised in Newton, attending and graduating from Newton High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Louis J. Bilski Jr. The pair were wed on August 7, 1960, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in their hometown. Louis was a member of the United States Air Force, and as such, Nancy took on the role of home maker in not just one home, but many all over the world. Throughout his career, they lived in Spain, Texas, North Dakota, and her favorite- Alaska, just to name a few places. In 1977, they returned to Massachusetts, first landing in Newton, then Needham in 1978, before settling into their forever home in charming South Walpole in 1979.

In addition to the role of home maker, Nancy also took on the role of mother, welcoming three children over the years. As her children grew, she always welcomed their friends into her home with open arms, becoming a second mother to many of them. She nurtured her children's interests and spoiled them with the best date nut bread around. A compassionate and empathetic woman, Nancy was a rock for her family, keeping them grounded and supporting them through challenging times.

Nancy enjoyed spending time in nature. She loved watching the birds, thrilled when orioles and hummingbirds would visit her home. An afternoon was well spent relaxing and watching the wildlife in her beautiful backyard oasis. Nancy also liked to travel, seeking out destinations to visit with Louis as often as they could. Back at home, Nancy and Louis reserved Friday nights for dates, finding ways to spend time together just the two of them, even when they had a house full of kids. Nancy was also a very social and outgoing woman. She loved to spend time with friends and family, and relished good conversation. She was feisty, full of life, and always had an interesting story to tell.

Throughout her life, Nancy was steadfast in her faith. She devoted time to pray every day and engaged in the Catholic community. She closed Adoration at Saint Timothy's in Norwood, singing beautiful Latin hymns every week, and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Jude's in Norfolk.

Beloved wife of Louis J. "Buddy" Bilski Jr.

Loving mother of Karen A. Bilski of South Walpole, the late Louis J. Bilski III and his surviving wife Angela of South Walpole, and the late Christopher Bilski.

Sister of Kathy Foley-Johnson of Tewksbury, Pat Biziak of Attleboro, Thomas Foley of Hanover, Maureen Giles of Newton, the late Peggy McAfee, and the late Joan Musial-LeDonne.

Also survived by her roommates and dear friends, Shelly Demmon and Andrea Driscoll, and her favorite grand-dog Sage.
