Nancy (LaCivita) Wilhelm, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at her home in Mansfield, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 6, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Walter P. and Rose M. (Toti) LaCivita. She was raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1969. Nancy continued her education at Newbury College, earning her associates degree with a focus on paralegal with the Class of 1971. She took her first position as a paralegal with the Law Offices of Martin and Santos in Walpole.
Nancy married her beloved husband, Frank Wilhelm, on May 4, 1974. Together they made their home in Walpole, Massachusetts for a short time before building a house in Mansfield, where Nancy welcomed her son, Michael. Nancy went on to work for Brian M. Beatty, Esq. in Mansfield, before returning to Walpole to take a position with the Law Office of Mal Bryant. More recently, Nancy worked alongside Paul Carroll, ensuring his law firm in Canton ran smoothly. While she worked hard, Nancy found a way to give back to her faith community, serving as a CCD teacher at her church, Saint Mary's Church in Mansfield. She provided instruction at her home for a group of sixth graders, remaining by their side all the way through confirmation.
Throughout her life, Nancy was devoted to her family. Nancy and Frank shared a beautiful relationship over the course of their lives together, from building their home to the purchase of a timeshare in Aruba that was enjoyed almost every year since 2006. She was delighted to be a Mom to Michael, taking an active role in his life. Nancy spent countless hours volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Mike's Den Leader, Scout Leader, and organizing a trip to the Grand Canyon. As Mike grew up and enlisted in the military, Nancy kept in touch with him throughout all his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, ensuring he was safe and taking care of himself. Nancy's love and devotion to her son, helped shape him into the man that he is today. As her father grew older, Nancy helped provide care for him and was there for her sister, Susan, during her struggle with cancer. In 2019, Nancy earned the title "Mimi" as she was so excited to welcome her grandson, Nikolia, a true gift from her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Natalie.
