Nicholas Joseph Carpeno

Nicholas Joseph Carpeno, III, age 53, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on October 8, 1964, he was the son of Nicholas J. Carpeno, Jr. and Carmen (Bishop) Fitts. Nick was raised in Mansfield and Foxborough and as a young man loved playing hockey and football. He graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he was a star running back with the football team, with the Class of 1983. After graduation, Nick enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country, while stationed in Jacksonville, Florida.

Upon his return from the Navy, Nick settled back in Foxborough and later in 1991, he moved to Walpole, where he started his company, R and N Cleaning Crew. Nick moved to Norfolk in 2001 and later made his home in Plainville, before settling in Norwood in 2012. Most recently he was living in North Attleborough.

Throughout his life, Nick was an avid sports fan. He loved taking an active role in helping his sons play hockey and football. As he got older, he took up bicycle riding and was recently training for the MS Ride that was fast approaching.

Beloved long-time companion of Diane Walsh of North Attleboro.
Loving father of Nicholas J. Carpeno, IV of Gardner, Franco Carpeno and his wife Stephanie of Walpole, and Giovanni Carpeno and his wife Alyson of Plainville.
Devoted son of Nicholas J. Carpeno, Jr and Carmen (Bishop) Fitts.
Brother of Lori, Lynn, and David Carpeno.
Also survived by Diane's children, Patricia Walsh and her son, Reid, and Daniel Walsh, along with his former wife, Roberta Lamperti.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Nick's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
