Norma L. (Glingener) Prevett, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on August 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Helene (Pfaff) Glingener. She spent her early years in Elizabeth, before settling in Norwood, where she graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1953. Following her graduation, Norma took a position with the Walpole Co-Operative Bank, working her way up to head bank teller.
In 1959, Norma made her home in Norfolk, Massachusetts, where she raised her sons. After marrying Peter J. Prevett on July 7, 1972, Norma became the Mom of the original "Brady Bunch" of Boardman Street, blending the McElwee and Prevett families. In addition to raising her children, Norma ran the books for her husband's company, Peter Prevett Construction. Norma and Peter settled on High Street in Walpole in 1981, however in later years, the couple became snowbirds, taking road trips to their winter home in Venice, Florida.
Back at home in Walpole, Norma enjoyed spending time in her gardens, cultivating her beautiful flowers. As a savvy shopper, she was always on the lookout for the best deals when visiting her favorite stores, usually with coupons in hand. Most of all, she loved hosting her family for the holidays, preparing a big meal for everyone to enjoy together, and ensuring she had something sweet to serve for dessert.
