Norman Araujo

March 22, 1933 — February 8, 2021

Dr. Norman Araujo, age 87, of Walpole, Massachusetts, and retired Associate Professor of forty-nine years at Boston College, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Care One in Randolph, Massachusetts. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on March 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Jose and Julia Marie (Coracao) Araujo.

Norman married his beloved Barbara on March 4, 2000 at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, Newton, Massachusetts and is survived by his spouse, Barbara Cartmill Araujo, a stepson, Kevin J. Cartmill and a stepdaughter, Tracey Cartmill Zacharias.

Norman was interred in Forest Hills Cemetery on February 16, 2021 with his family holding a private graveside service. The keys of his beloved baby grand now lay silent.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice in Norman’s memory.
