Patricia J. Ludwick

Patricia J. (Bence) Ludwick, age 91, passed away in Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA on Sunday, May 5, 2019.  Born in Apollo, PA on December 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lee J. and Willimina (Smith) Bence.  She was raised in Apollo, graduating from Washington Township High School with the Class of 1945.  Following graduation, Patricia took a secretarial position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC.
 
Patricia married her beloved husband, Robert L. Ludwick, on December 27, 1950 in the First Lutheran Church in New Kensington, PA.  The young couple made their home together in East Longmeadow, MA and later settled in Sudbury, MA, where Patricia took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.  As a devoted family woman, Patricia lovingly put her sewing and knitting skills to work, making clothes for her children, and baking her famous cookies and pies for her loved ones to enjoy.
 
Once her husband, Robert, retired, he and Patricia moved to Brewster, MA to enjoy life on the Cape.  Patricia joined the Brewster Garden Club, enjoying conversation with her friends about their various flower gardens.  More recently, Patricia moved to Walpole, MA, settling into her new community at New Pond Village.
 
Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Ludwick.
Loving mother of Karen J. Locke and her husband, Bob, of Walpole, Kim J. Miller of Shrewsbury, and Robert M. Ludwick and his wife, Lana Tsao, of Newton.
Cherished grandmother of Krista Sullivan and her husband, Shawn, Michael Calabrese and his wife, Lauren, Lori Calabrese, Amelia Ludwick, and Benjamin Ludwick and great grandmother of Tyler, Chloe, Carter, and Dylan.
Sister of Donna Kelly of Hershey, Pennsylvania and the late Annabell Rudolph.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
 
All services are private at the request of Patricia’s family with interment taking place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
